Hello~ I'm Glenda Sue, and I grew up in the coastal town of Pacific Grove, California, where I spent my days soaking in the sun on the beach, awed by the vibrant fuchsia colored ice plant that surrounds the rocky shore, to exploring tide pools, collecting shells, and wandering along the abandoned fish packing plants (now Monterey Bay Aquarium) on Monterey's Cannery Row, where history, and the ocean sounds of barking sea lions were my everyday life. Those early experiences shaped my love for the sea, and wildlife. Not to be ignored the color, texture, and the ever-changing moods of the sea- elements that continue to flow through my paintings today.

In recent years, my journey in life brought my husband and I to the country life of Middle Tennessee, where I discovered a deep connection to my ancestral roots. Learning my forefathers once called this region home and established their families, in towns of McMinnville, TN and many other outlaying areas of the Nashville area.  Now the quiet country side offers a different kind of beauty- softer, grounded and timeless- a wonderful perfect balance to the wild energy and of the Pacific Coast to my love of all things country, from horses, farm animals to historical barns.
My art is a bridge and combination of every part of my life that makes me, me. It bridges both worlds and allows me to embrace the fluid motions of the sea, to the enduring strength my ancestors, they brought to this land.

Each painting a reflection of journey and heritage- a celebration of where I've been, and where I've come home.  I work as a self-taught artist and have been painting for many years.

I hope you find my passion in the different aspects of life that will bring my paintings an addition not only to your home but connect with your heart as well.

Thank you for your time~
